Halloween Fest with ShopLK!

The annual Letterkenny Halloween Fest is set to make a welcome return to the Main Street on Saturday 29th of October.  The Halloween Fest has delighted children, teens and their families for many years and always delivers a fantastic Halloween buzz to the town. The annual festival is being organised by ShopLK, together with the team at Letterkenny CDP.

The fest will kick off from 12.30pm on the day, with lots of exciting activities lined up for everyone to enjoy. Families will experience all the usual favourites, such as the trick or treat trail, storytelling and the ever popular fancy-dress competition.   This year also sees the return  Halloween storytelling sessions by our friendly witch, Zelda.  As an added extra, we have the photo booth at Market Centre, to capture your memory of the day.

The trick or treat trail will run from 1pm to 3pm, with local businesses providing treats for everyone.  Children and their families can also register (for a small fee) to take part in the fancy-dress competition with prizes being awarded in The Courtyard Shopping Centre, at the end of the afternoon.

The President of Letterkenny Chamber, Kristine Reynolds, said, “We’re very excited to see the return of the Halloween Fest this month.  This event is a must for families. The children all make such a special effort to dress up and we get lots of Halloween themed family groups. The activities always bring a buzz to the Town Centre and give families a great, fun afternoon out.”

To round off the afternoon before the prizes are announced in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, everyone is invited to join in the Halloween parade, led by the Pinehill Studio dancers, at 4pm from McGettigan’s Hotel.
